Ozette Washington Beach Camping and bouldering

In June of 2002 a group of us took a trip to the Olympic Peninsula. We planned it to be a three day car camp, but it ended up turning into a 4 mile hike to the beach to camp, because all of the campsites were full. Despite everyone in the group not being prepared to hike. (except for me, I brought my backpacking pack.) The trip was very enjoyable. To add to the great experience we actually found some beach bouldering that was of good quality.

Here is the main boulder that has a good variety of problems that range anywhere from ten feet to fifteen feet tall. The features on the sandstone from the waves are amazing.

Here I am on a problem on the wave like face of the boulder.
